Key IBC Timelines
Statutory Timelines Under IBC 2016
All timelines as per the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code 2016 and IBC (Amendment) Acts.
Section 8 Demand Notice
Operational creditor must wait 10 days after serving demand notice before filing Section 9 petition.
CIRP Admission
NCLT must admit or reject petition within 14 days of filing (Section 7/9).
CIRP Period
Maximum 180 days (extendable to 330 days for complex cases) for completion of CIRP.
Resolution Plan Submission
Resolution Applicant must submit plan at least 30 days before CIRP period ends.
CoC Approval
Committee of Creditors must approve resolution plan with 66% voting share.
Liquidation Order
NCLT may order liquidation if no plan approved within CIRP period.
